This year's MTV Video Music Awards are shaping up to be quite a star-studded evening.
I can exclusively reveal that Britney Spears will make an appearance at the VMAs on Sunday.
Whispers began earlier today when producers included the pop princess in its seating chart preview.
Sources report that Ms. Spears is set to present the show's first Moon Man.
Hosted by Miley Cyrus, the VMAs will include performances by Justin Bieber, The Weeknd, Pharrell Williams, Demi Lovato, Macklemore & Ryan Lewis, Tori Kelly, A$AP Rocky and Twenty One Pilots.
Kanye West will be honored with the Michael Jackson Vanguard Award. Past honorees include Spears and Beyoncé.

Britney Spears' Ex, Charlie Ebersol, Was Almost The Bachelor

The blonde beauty's former beau Charlie Ebersol, 32, revealed to Us Weekly that he was asked to be on The Bachelor!
“They asked me to do The Bachelor a bunch of years ago and it was the most awkward phone call I have ever been a part of in my entire life,” he spilled.

But don't expect to see Charlie handing out roses any time soon, “There’s no way in hell I’m ever doing it," he confirmed.

Brit and Charlie split in June after eight months of dating. There doesn’t seem to be any hard feelings between the two, as the producer won’t stop praising his ex and even revealed which of her songs is his favorite.

Britney Spears' ex-boyfriend Charlie Ebersol was asked to be on The Bachelor.

The television and movie producer told Us Weekly he turned down the chance to find true love on the American television show as it just wasn't for him.

He said: "They asked me to do The Bachelor a bunch of years ago and it was the most awkward phone call I have ever been a part of in my entire life. There's no way in hell I'm ever doing it."

Charlie and Britney split in June after eight months of dating. It came just one month after they made their first red carpet appearance as a couple at the Billboard Music Awards.

She'd previously said she was the happiest she had ever been, and that her kids Preston, nine, and Jayden, eight, got on with Charlie really well: "They relate to him really well and they have fun together. He's refreshing to be around and really light-hearted."

Unlike The Bachelor in the UK which only lasted five series and never really took off, the franchise over in the US is seriously massive.

It's had 19 series of The Bachelor and spawned spinoff shows The Bachelorette, Bachelor Pad and Bachelor In Paradise, as well as wedding specials for four of the show stars.

Britney Spears Dresses Up As A Mermaid For Her Sons During Pool Day

Britney Spears just played mermaid mom to her sons Thursday while taking a break from her busy Las Vegas performance schedule.
As seen in her recent tweet, Britney Spears just donned a blue Mermaid tail while enjoying a day in the sun by the poolside with sons Sean Preston, 9, and Jayden James, 8.
It’s not known whether Britney took a swim in the pool while donning the fish suit, but her hair appears to be wet in the photo. Either way, given the look of glee on the kids’ faces, it looks like Britney’s boys were having a ball. And the kids have a lot to smile about recently, considering that they just went on a trip to the Chocolate Factory with their mother on Wednesday, as seen on the Instagram photo posted by Spears.

Busy as she is, family still trumps everything for Britney Spears, who shares parenting duties with ex-husband Kevin Federline. The “Hit Me Baby One More Time” hitmaker told People that their hectic schedules made the time she spent together with her sons in Hawaii during spring break even more special.

Britney Spears Gushes on Taylor Swift, No She Really Gushes

Britney Spears seems to think very highly of pop star Taylor Swift. The singer, who once topped the charts much like Swift is doing today, gushed over Swift at the Teen Choice Awards over the weekend.
“I love Taylor Swift,” the singer told E! News at the awards show. “I think she’s adorable. I love her music. Her music makes me so happy. She’s very level-headed. She’s a very, very smart girl, very wise.”
Both Spears, best-known for her hits “…Baby One More Time” and “Oops I Did It Again,” and Swift were honored at the TCAs. Taylor took home four awards (including Female Choice Summer Music Star) and Spears was given the Candie’s Choice Style Icon award.

Unfortunately for Britney Spears, Swift wasn’t in attendance at the Aug. 16 event as she’s currently on her 1989 World Tour. But Swift has a track record of bringing out a special guest (or three) in every city, so here’s hoping an onstage pop queen meet-up happens — by the sounds of it, Spears wouldn’t say no.
Britney admitted that her sons aren’t quite as into Swift as their momma. Instead, they’re big EDM fans.

My kids are deejays,” Spears told E!. “They’re both in their rooms deejaying 24/7 and making up their own music.”

Britney Spears is working on ''fun, cheeky, sexy'' music.
The 33-year-old singer is busy in the studio working on the follow-up to 2013's 'Britney Jean' and has teased fans will see her fun side on the collection, hinting she has also been collaborating with other female stars.
She said: ''We're having fun right now. I'm working with some women who are amazing writers. I have ballads and, of course, dance music--fun cheeky sexy stuff.''
Meanwhile, the 'Toxic' hitmaker - who released her first single from the album, 'Pretty Girls', earlier this year - has also had her hands full with her Las Vegas 'Piece of Me' show at The Axis in Planet Hollywood, and having recently celebrated 100 shows at the venue, is unsure whether to continue performing there beyond 2015.
Questioned on whether she will extend the residency, she admitted to E! News: ''I'm not really sure. I haven't made up my mind. I really love doing the show. It's a lot, a lot of fun but I'm kind of torn right now. I don't really know what I want to do.''
Britney was speaking at the Teen Choice Awards at Los Angeles' Galen Theater, where she urged young people to be ''fearless'' with their fashion after picking up the Candie's Choice Style Icon award.
She said: ''Fashion has always been something I love to experiment with.
''It gives us all a chance to express ourselves and our own personalities and to shine in our own way. To all the teens out there watching, be fearless in your choices and don't be afraid to be yourself.''

Britney Spears looks like she's still broody for a girl!

Spears took a moment out of her busy schedule on Thursday to enjoy some playtime with her adorable niece, Lexie.

The 33-year-old singer shared a photo of herself and the young girl on Instagram. 

The mom-of-two wore a pastel pink dress with black strappy heels for the play date, while her niece – whose father is Spears' brother, Bryan Spears – wore a black dress with a bright floral pattern.

"Feeling pretty, feeling summery, feeling pretty summery in our dresses," the "Toxic" singer captioned the cute pic.

Spears and her niece share more than a love of pretty dresses. Lexie obviously has the family singing gene – Britney has shared videos of her singing on social media.

Britney Spears Returns To TV On’ Jane The Virgin’

Britney Spears will be returning to TV this fall.
The pop star confirmed Tuesday that she will be guest-starring in the upcoming season of The CW’s Jane the Virgin.
Spears announced her return to TV via Twitter on Tuesday.
“See u at the Marbella Hotel soon, @hereisgina @jaimecamil! Guest starring on one of my favorite shows EVER @CWJaneTheVirgin #DreamComeTrue,” tweeted Spears, mentioning Jane the Virgin stars Gina Rodriguez and Jaime Camil.
Golden Globe winner Rodriguez, 31, tweeted right back.

Britney Spears, 33, is not new to making guest appearances on television. She appeared in How I Met your Mother in 2008 and Will & Grace in 2006. However, according to People magazine, her appearance in Jane the Virgin is extra special for the singer because the CW series is one of her favorite shows on television.
“I get really into Jane the Virgin,” Spears told People. “It’s fun.”

Showrunner Jennie Snyder Urman shared a bit about Spears’ plotline.
“We’re really excited. We have a backstory, it turns out she is a real nemesis of Rogelio’s, but the sort of quality of their attraction is a little bit in dispute between what Rogelio thinks and what Britney thinks.”

Snyder Urman added that approaching Britney with an offer to appear on the show was a no-brainer.
“When we found out she was a fan, we said, ‘Would you please, please be on the show?’ Happily she said yes.”

Britney Spears announces an appearance on 'Jane the Virgin'

The pop star, whose grocery lists have been recently sold online, will play herself in the fifth episode of Season 2, notes US Magazine. "We are so thrilled that Rogelio's 'nemesis', Britney Spears, has agreed to appear [on the show]," confirmed creator Jennie Snyder Urman.
Mark Pedowitz, CW president, told reporters at TCA that knowing Jane the Virgin was one of Spears' favorite shows, he had to pursue a role for her.
"All I know at this point is, it's one of Britney's favorite shows. We understood that. Jennie and the studio went after Britney once they heard it was one of her favorite shows of all time," Pedowitz told reporters.
"To their credit, and to Britney's credit, she decided she'd come do it. I believe she's playing herself."
Previously, the pop singer guest starred on How I Met Your Mother and Will & Grace. She was also featured in the main role in the movie, Crossroads.

The 'Bangarang' DJ went to see Britney perform in her 'Piece Of Me' Las Vegas residency over the weekend and her boys Jayden James, nine and Sean Preston, eight, were thrilled when he came backstage and they got to meet him.
Britney tweeted Skrillex saying: ''What a sweetheart. Thank you for coming tonight @Skrillex, dream come true for my boys!!''
Meanwhile, Britney's producer Chris Braide, 42, who worked with the 'Pretty Girls' singer on 2013 LP 'Britney Jean', recently defended her use of backing tracks during live performances.
Speaking exclusively to BANG Showbiz, Chris said: ''Proper pop was much better when people mimed. As a producer, you spend weeks and weeks trying to make this thing sound absolutely perfect for people to listen to and love and then the poor artist goes on TV and is meant to sing it live in one take at 9 o'clock in the morning. It's nonsense.''
Britney, 33, is currently performing a two-year-residency at Planet Hollywood in Las Vegas and Chris says the focus should be about putting on an amazing show.
He said: ''Even Michael Jackson had things on track. It's about a show you know. It annoys me when people attack pop stars.''

Britney Spears Debuts Multi-colored Hair While Skrillex Makes Her Boys' 'Dream Come True' During Concert Visit

Britney Spears is definitely a cool mom.

Spears's sons Jayden James, 8, and Sean Preston, 8, were all smiles with the pop star on Saturday when Skrillex came backstage at her Vegas residency to meet the family.

Singer Britney Spears has "changed dramatically" after discovering meditation.

According to a source, the 33-year-old has been using a special application for 20 minutes every day to learn to relax and banish her anxiety, and even attributes her slender figure to her new outlook on life, reports femalefirst.co.uk.

Britney has always struggled with anxiety. Learning to meditate, relax her mind and body and have happy thoughts has made her change dramatically,” Closer magazine quoted the source as saying.
